Forestry industry

Värmeforsk's programme for the forestry industry is the result of many years of research on a wide range of subjects. The aim of the programme is to make the industry more competitive and more energy efficient. The programme is directed by a programme committee comprised of representatives from the forestry industry.

Environmentally friendly use of ashes

The aim of Värmeforsk's Ash programme is to find the most environmentally-friendly way to use ashes (from all types of fuel except coal) from heat- and power production boilers.

Applied combustion

The main objective of the Applied combustion programme is to develop methods and technology and to disseminate new knowledge gained on the subject of combustion, with particular focus on the production technology used in the Swedish district heating sector and the forestry industry. The main focus of the work is on solving those general operational-related problems agreed between the participants themselves. The programme also provides the opportunity for staff involved with plant operation to network with staff from other plants and to educate their own operators.
